Legacy 2006-2007 Season
A letter sent to the Legacy family from Karen and Angie
Hi Everyone!
We wanted to be the first to tell our Legacy family about what is going on with Legacy for the 2006-2007 Season. As many of you know, Karen delivered her 3rd child during the last cheer season and Angie had some health issues that she tackled during the same season. This put a good amount of stress on both of us and in turn made it hard to keep things moving forward at the gym. Somehow we made it through last season - WHEW!
Moving forward to this year we have really been evaluating the time commitment that the teams will have on us and our families and our current situations and we have decided that it is best if we take the season off, regroup, and get things running like we like them to run.
For the 2006-2007 Team Members, thank you for your loyalty and for giving Legacy a try - we have already talked with most of you there are a few that we are still trying to get a hold of (CALL KAREN RIGHT AWAY). We have made arrangements and in some cases special Legacy member pricing arrangements with gyms we recommend in the area. If you were planning to cheer Legacy this season and would like to hear more about your options at the local gyms it is best if you contact Karen next week.
Legacy was formed by the participants and has always and will always be about the participants. We are closing the doors this season because it is the right thing to do for each and every athlete that has committed to cheering for us this season. We encourage each and every one of you to cheer this season and will do anything needed to ensure you a spot where you will be happy.
Also, for our mid-season participants, we will be most likely coaching (coaching only) a mid-season team this year. Let us know if you are interested and we will forward you all the information (cost, start date, practice times etc) right away.
Lastly, we ask for a little help. As we have always said, the cheer world is small and a little gossipy at times. We honestly do not think it would be fair to our current participants to follow through on this season given the time restraints we have and that is why we are doing this. Please help us to pass this word on to any Legacy members that did not receive this information.
To each and every Legacy Member and their families, past and present...we love you with all our heart and each and every one of you has made the ride so memorable. This decision was so difficult for us because as one person put it "Legacy pioneered allstar cheer in this area - it's hard to imagine it not being around this season" - it's hard for us to imagine also.
